Drakes End

Drakes End depicts one terminus of a narrow gauge line located in England during the 1920s. The line was built to handle a wide range of goods traffic, as well as passengers commuting from the nearest town, Upper Dibley.

Both motive power and rolling stock are sourced from all quarters – à la Colonel Stephens and includes many experimental and non-prototypical locos. The pride of the fleet is the Irish stock obtained from the Clogher Valley on its closure.

The layout was originally designed and built by Trevor Gittings (009 Sussex group). Owned and exhibited by Brian Haynes (009 Society, Surrey & South Yorkshire groups).
