We are pleased to announce that Surrey Narrow Gauge Modellers and the Surrey Group of The 7mm Narrow Gauge Association will jointly be hosting another in our occasional series of Narrow But Nice exhibitions.
Once again the format is to provide around 5 layouts in each of the 4mm and 7mm scales, all narrow gauge of course. We hope to provide a friendly atmosphere at what will essentially be an extended club open day. There should be plenty of variety and all will be welcome - members and the general public alike - regardless of levels of skill or knowledge, so do not be shy of coming along.
Do please put a note in your diary for Saturday 17th September to visit us and "natter narrow gauge". We look forward to seeing you.
Expected attractions are:
- 7mmNG
Hatch End - Mike Reed
Bottom Road - Brian Cameron
Touchwood - Nick Pidgley
Green Gates - Alan Rogers * withdrawn: see note on Eastgate below *
Bratton St Andrew - Brian Whitbread
Eastgate - Philip Moss
Sadly, Philip Moss, a fine modeller and a very nice man, died on 12th August. Arrangements are in hand for Philip's last layout to appear at Narrow But Nice to mark his contribution to the hobby and his passing. Alan Rogers has very graciously agreed to withdraw Green Gates to make room.
- 009
Khan - Julian Evison
Drakes End - Brian Haynes
Purbeck - John Thorne
Griffin Yard - David Hammersley
The Chalk Pit - Nigel Lawton

Due to personal circumstances Narrow Planet is no longer able to attend this event.
- In addition, on static display will be a 5" live steam loco IOM No 6 Peveril.
- The hall is also the home of the East Surrey Model Railway Club and their 00 Club layout will be open and operating all day.
Light refreshments will be available.
There is access for the disabled, except stage (009 Society Members Sales) and upstairs (East Surrey MRC layout).
